Discover Javea’s Best Viewpoints – Scenic Spots You Can’t Miss

Jávea has the most stunning coastal scenery that we’ve found so far on the Costa Blanca and some amazinf views. Our dream house is nestled on one of the dramatic cliffs looking out into the Mediterranean Sea…we’re just waiting for a lottery win so for now we’ll have to make do with looking at it from one of Jávea’s best viewpoints instead!

However, if (like us) you’re not lucky enough to have a home with a dream sea view, there are plenty of viewpoints in Jávea where you can take in the beautiful views and snap some photos.

These amazing spots should be on your must-visit list if you find yourself in Jávea. Here are some of Jávea’s best viewpoints, along with how to get there and what you can expect to see…

1. Cap de Sant Antoni

First on our list of Jávea´s best viewpoints is the Cape San Antonio (Cap de Sant Antoni) viewpoint, located at the northern tip of Jávea, offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding coastline. It’s a very peaceful location at the end of a scenic drive so ideal for kids who don’t want to walk far, but also suitable for hiking if you prefer.

How to get there:

You can drive up to the viewpoint, where free parking is available. For those who prefer walking, there are hiking trails from the old town that lead up to the viewpoint, though it’s a steep trek of about 3km.

What you can see:

From Cape San Antonio, you can enjoy stunning views of the coastline stretching toward Denia and the Montgó Mountain. It’s a fantastic spot for sunset photography, where you can capture the sun setting over the sea with some beautiful colours in the evening sky.

2. Parc Natural del Montgó

The viewpoint at Montgó is located within the Montgó Natural Park, a protected area located between the towns of Javea and Denia. The park covers over 2,100 hectares, and is dominated by the impressive Montgó Mountain, which rises to 753 meters. If you fancy a day out this natural park is an ideal location, with some amazing views included.

How to get there:

You can reach the Montgó viewpoint by hiking one of the many trails in the park. The most popular route starts from the base of the Montgó and takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the summit.

What you can see:

At the top, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views of Jávea, the Montgó Mountain, and the surrounding countryside. On a clear day, you can even see all the way to Ibiza! The area is also rich in plants, flowers and wildlife, making it a paradise for nature lovers.

3. La Granadella Viewpoint

Situated near the stunning and very popular La Granadella Beach, this viewpoint offers a unique view of the Javea coastline. If visiting in the summer make sure you arrive early as the road tends to be closed off by 9am due to the number of visitors, as we found out the hard way!

How to Get There:

The viewpoint is accessible by car, with parking available nearby. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can hike down to La Granadella Beach and then up to the viewpoint, but be prepared for some steep paths which might not be a good idea in the summer months!

What You Can See:

From here, you’ll enjoy the best views of the turquoise waters of La Granadella Beach framed by cliffs. This is an ideal spot for enjoying a picnic while taking in the beautiful sea views.

4. Cabo de la Nao

Another of Jávea’s best viewpoints, Cabo de la Nao is located at the easternmost point of Jávea, and is one of the most scenic and iconic spots along the Costa Blanca. Located just a short drive from Javea this viewpoint is known for its dramatic cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and fantastic views out to sea.

How to Get There:

You can drive right up to the viewpoint where you’ll find a parking area. It’s also possible to hike from the nearby beaches, though the trails can be steep and rugged.

What You Can See:

At this viewpoint you’ll find rugged cliffs, the iconic lighthouse, and mesmerising views of the coastline. It’s also a great spot for dolphin watching and sunsets!

5. Mirador de la Falzia

Mirador de la Falzia is a stunning viewpoint, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Mediterranean coast and the surrounding landscapes. This viewpoint is a hidden gem, perfect for those seeking a bit of peace away from some of the more crowded tourist spots in Javea.

How to get there:

You can either drive or take a leisurely walk from Arenal Beach, which is about 1.5 kilometers (0.93 miles) away.

What you can see:

The Mirador de la Falzia offers a stunning views over the beaches below, the Mediterranean Sea, and the rugged cliffs. It’s a perfect spot for a sunset stroll as the sun dips below the horizon.

6. Cap Negre

And last, but not least, on our list of Jávea’s best viewpoints is Cap Negre. Cap Negre is located along the coast between Javea and the picturesque beach of La Granadella. Its rugged cliffs are home to some of the most expensive houses in the area, with a cove below that is only accessible by boat.

How to get there

Driving is the easiest way to get to Cap Negre. There is a small parking area near the viewpoint, but it can fill up quickly, especially during peak tourist season. If you’re feeling more adventurous, you can hike to Cap Negre from nearby beaches, such as La Granadella or Arenal Beach. The walk from La Granadella is approximately 3km along a scenic coastal path, but is does have some quite steep sections.

What you can see:

At Cap Negre, you’ll be treated to some of the most breathtaking views Javea has to offer including stunning sea views with crystal clear waters. Cap Negre is one of the best places to catch a sunset in Javea – arrive early evening to watch as the sun dips below the horizon.
