Guadalest

This charming hilltop village behind Benidorm is one of the most picturesque locations on the Costa Blanca. With its narrow streets, bright blue reservoir, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains, Guadalest is the perfect spot for Instagram-worthy photos.

On a sunny day you will get some amazing photos of the blue lake with the mountain backdrop and blue skies.

You can book onto a tour of Guadalest and the Fonts d’Algar here.

Altea

One of our favourite locations on the Costa Blanca, Altea is a beautiful town located between Benidorm and Calpe. It’s known for its charming old town set up on a hill, with its white-washed houses and narrow streets. The main square in the old town, Plaza de la Iglesia, is a must stop with the photo-worthy blue domed church Nuestra Señora del Consuelo.

The town also boasts of a beautiful beach and stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, which can be seen from many of the view points around the old town. For those really serious about their Instagram feed you can book onto this Altea Instagram Photography Tour, or you can book onto a free tour of Altea here to find the best spots.

Javea

The location we would live in if we could afford the house prices, Javea is a fantastic coastal town located on the northern Costa Blanca. Known for its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and stunning natural landscapes Javea is a very easy place to take a good photo of.

Head to one of the many cliff top viewpoints for spectacular views out over the see, or stop by the historic old town for some Instagram-worthy photos. If you want a local to help you find the best spots, why not book onto this free tour of Javea.

Denia Castle

The castle of Denia is a historic landmark located on the coast of the Costa Blanca, close to Javea. The castle boasts some stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding mountains, as well as views down over the old town.

Standing on the steps of the castle looking out over the port is the perfect spot for capturing the beauty of the region, and there’s a great tour of Denia and the castle here. You could also book onto this free tour of Denia to explore the old town.

Villajoyosa

A unique and colourful town, Villajoyosa is located on the Costa Blanca, around 30 mins drive from Alicante. The town is known for its rows of colorful houses, beautiful sandy beaches, and charming old town

Standing on the promenade is the perfect spot to get your Instagram photos, you have the colourful houses on one side and the beach on the other. This free tour of Villajoyosa will take you to some of the most picturesque and interesting locations.

Santa Barbara Castle

The Santa Barbara Castle is a historic landmark located in the city of Alicante and definitely one of the best Alicante Instagram spots! High up on a hill the castle boasts stunning views of the city, the Mediterranean Sea, and the surrounding mountains.

From the top of the castle you will be able to take some perfect photos out towards the port and sea. One of my favourite spots for a good photo is this arch, but you could be waiting for a while to get a shot without people in it!

If you want to learn more about the castle and where the most photogenic spots are, you could book onto this free tour of the Santa Barbara castle.

Torrevieja Salt Lake

Another perfect Instagrammable location on the Costa Blanca is the pink Salt Lake in Torrevieja. You need a sunny day with a clear blue sky to get the best photos, otherwise the lake can look a bit dull.

You’re not allowed to bathe in the lake, so our best tip is to book onto a tour of the salt lake. This way you will get access to some of the best spots.

City of Arts & Sciences, Valencia

The whole of Valencia is an ideal location to take photos, from the historic old town, through the beautiful Parc del Túria, to the futuristic City of Arts & Sciences.

Surrounded by light blue artificial lakes, the buildings in the City of Arts & Sciences are definitely a great backdrop for your Instagram photos.

To explore more of the old town, you can book onto a free tour of Valencia with an expert local guide.

Fonts D’Algar

Last but by no means least on our list of Instagrammable locations on the Costa Blanca are the stunning waterfalls in Algar. Located approximately 30 minutes from Benidorm, these waterfalls are so picturesque that they were even the location for that famous Timotei shampoo advert.

We’d advise getting there as early as possible to avoid the crowds and get some good photos before it becomes too busy.

Parque Natural Font Roja

If you want to take photos of some beautiful natural views away from the coast, then head up to Parque Natural Font Roja in Alcoy. From here you will have stunning views across the countryside and mountains, scenery that looks very different from the Spain you see on the coast.

It’s free to park here and you can walk various different views to viewpoints ideal for taking photos for Instagram.

Overall, this is a beautiful region of Spain with plenty of Instagram spots on the Costa Blanca to explore, so enjoy getting out and about across the area and take some amazing photos!
